English 9

Read a novel or memoir of your choice this summer!  It must be your reading level (high school or above), new to you (never been read), and school appropriate.  Challenge yourself!

It must be a narrative (story) as our English 9 curriculum will focus on storytellers and storytelling.  (More on that later . . . . )

Take notes!  You will need them when you write about your book in August.

Please DO NOT READ the following books, which will be assigned during the school year:
To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Rocket Boys/October Sky by Homer Hickam, Jr.
